Ordering repeat prescriptions
The easiest ways to order repeat prescriptions are:
- Use your NHS account (on the NHS website or in the NHS app).
- Use your Systmonline account (on the Systmonline website or in the Systmonline app).
These accounts show you all your repeat medicine and dosage and you can choose the ones you need.
You can also:
- Use the repeat ordering slip on your previous prescription. Leave it at the surgery or post it to us.
- Email us on: [email protected] stating your full name, date of birth, nominated pharmacy and full details of requested item(s) – name, dosage, quantity.
We do not take repeat prescription requests over the phone.
Collecting your prescription
Please allow 72 hours or 3 working days for all repeat prescription requests. Allow 4 working days if your prescription is collected from a Pharmacy.
Only order a repeat prescription if you have less than 7 days of medication remaining.
If we have your mobile number, we will send a text to let you know when your prescription is ready to collect.
You can use an online form to give us your mobile number.
We can also post your prescription to you if you provide us with a stamped, addressed envelope.
Medication reviews
We have a duty to review your health and medicines regularly. We will let you know if you need to make an appointment for a medication review with either our practice nurses or your doctor.
If you need urgent advice about your medication outside our surgery hours, please call NHS 111.

What to do with old medicines
Take it to the pharmacy you got it from or bring it in to the surgery. Do not put it in your household bin or flush it down the toilet.
About pharmacists
As qualified healthcare professionals, pharmacists can offer advice on minor illnesses such as:
- coughs
- colds
- sore throats
- tummy trouble
- aches and pains
They can also advise on medicine that you can buy without a prescription.
Many pharmacies are open until late and at weekends. You do not need an appointment.
Most pharmacies have a private consultation room where you can discuss issues with pharmacy staff without being overheard.
