Working days: Monday and Wednesday
I have been a GP since 1998 and worked at St Leonards since 2006.
I am a general medical practitioner and like all the doctors at St Leonards my main interest is providing personal care and continuity to my patients for all their medical problems, coordinating the care by specialist doctors when needed.
I have the following interests.
Sexual & Reproductive health including Perimenopausal Health. (Diploma in Sexual & Reproductive Health, BMS Management of the Menopause Certificate, Member British Menopause Society).
Skin Conditions including skin surgery. (Diploma in Dermoscopy, Diploma in Practical Dermatology, Member, Primary Care Dermatology Society)
Musculoskeletal Injections (RCGP Training in Skin Surgery and Musculoskeletal Injections).
General Health & Wellbeing (Diploma in Nutritional Medicine, Masters in Population Health).
Medicines Management (Diploma in Practical Prescribing).
Teaching (Postgraduate Certificate in Education and Former GP Trainer)
I am currently the practice’s diabetes lead GP and prescribing lead GP (although all my colleagues manage diabetes and the full range of medical conditions).
Outside of seeing patients, I also teach medical students at the practice and support training of future GPs.
Outside of work, my interests are walking and cooking for the family.
My partner is a GP at another practice and we have 2 grown up children.
